e wanted to tell you how much we enjoyed your home. It is so beautifully decorated and so thoughtfully equipped! You thought of everything. My nieces loved the spa tub and I loved the front porch. We got some really nice pictures of my husband and son (groom) dressing for the wedding in your master suite. It was so nice to come home to such a peaceful setting after running around and stressing all day over the wedding and rehearsal dinner plans. the wedding came off without a hitch, the weather was great and the setting gorgeous. We loved Lake Lure and we want to come back again when we can relax and enjoy the area. I so longed to take the boat out on the lake or just picnic at the waterfall! Maybe next time.

ow would we describe the Sage Cottage? A well appointed 4 star hotel with:  the personalness of a B & B, the spaciousness of a time share, the amenities of a resort, but most of all, the reflection of a home!  Thank you for a most enjoyable stay. We loved it all.  There was something for everyone. We enjoyed the game True Colors - great family bonding and fun!

P.S. Thank you for the pool table. The guys had a great time with it. We also discovered the rapids along the Nature Trail. What fun - body surfing! We certainly would like to return and will share with others. Highlight for Mark, age 18, was the great fishing. Highlight for Brent, age 21 was seeing the red fox go by while sitting at the dinner table!

My teens loved the satellite TV, PlayStation and stereo on the front porch.  They especially enjoyed the privacy of the beach.  When we first drove by Lake Lure, they expressed an interest in spending a day at Lake Lure but after an afternoon relaxing at Mirror Lake in Riverbend, they didn't mention Lake Lure again.  My daughter got a kick out of the fish - a testament to the health and cleanliness of your lake.
Climbed Chimney Rock, visited Asheville and Biltmore and enjoyed the beauty of the mountains.  We spent lots of time walking around Riverbend.  Buzzard's Place has some amazing views and the waterfall at the Nature Walk is awesome.
Went boating a few times - it was great fun.  We also grilled a few times and cooked some delicious corn bought on the farmstand down the road.
All in all a most memorable - but quickly past - week at the Sage Cottage.

ow hard it is to find words to express our time here, but I'll try:  relaxing, relaxing, did I say relaxing?  The weather was wonderful so we could enjoy the porch and nature hikes.  but most of all we enjoyed the house.  Everything you need is right here and so beautiful to look at too.  All the extras you  provide is a wonderfu touch.  It's nice to get away from a busy city and snuggle down in the mountains where it's so quiet and peaceful.  We were sitting in the swing yesterday and could actually hear a leaf falling off the tree and hitting the ground!  Now that's peaceful!  Thank you for the gift of time away in your cottage - something we'll definitely want to do again.

eautifully decorated house tucked away in the woods of Riverbend community, near Lake Lure. The master suite is huge, with a nice jacuzzi in a very large bathroom. 3 levels provided my 15 month child and I a place to go in the early am (he woke up around 6) without disturbing the other sleepers. Riverbend is a very secluded community with a great swimming lake w/ small beach (sand goes into the water - no mud!) and great views of the mountains across the lake, plus the small walk down to the rocky river picnic area is real nice. About 15 mins from the beach at Lake Lure (but, we never went, as the beach in Riverbend was too alluring :-) ).
The appliances in the cottage are first qualty, as is the dinnerware (I'd never put anything THAT nice in a rental cottage!), and the decorating is first rate.
